What are our plans?

Our Goal

Our ambitions include acquiring and managing a 5–10-hectare woodland in Northamptonshire, UK, the aim deliver sustainable woodland management and stewardship, develop outdoor wellbeing activities, such as forest programs and targeted retreats that make a meaningful contribution to personal wellbeing

Our woodland hub idea is still in development, with programs  planned to be launching Spring 2027. Stay tuned for open day announcements to explore our space.  

Mental Wellbeing

Woodland Women & Wellbeing CIC’ mindfulness walks, nature therapy sessions, and forest school programs provide evidence-based interventions to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, aligning with the ICB’s focus on preventative mental health services.

Healthy active lives

The business’s forest school and outdoor activities encourage active engagement with nature, addressing the ICB’s goal of supporting residents to lead healthier lives

The Sport England Active Lives survey (2020-21) revealed that North Northamptonshire has significantly higher inactivity rates among adults and children compared to national levels, particularly in rural and deprived areas

Reducing Health Inequalities

The Northamptonshire ntergrated Care Partnership highlights the need to address social determinants  of health like access to green and clean space, education, and poverty. By offering retreats for wellbeings, Woodland Women & Wellbeing CIC provides an innovative solution to supports vulnerable populations,  building resilience and reducing social isolation.

Our Mission

At Woodland Women & Wellbeing CIC, we believe nature is a powerful catalyst for personal and community growth. Our mission is to manage a 5–10-hectare woodland in West Northamptonshire, delivering sustainable programs that empower women and girls to lead active, confident, and connected lives. Starting with lesbian women, we aim to create inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive.
